The Ombudsman Punjab Management Information System (OPMIS) mobile application presents itself as a sophisticated tool designed to enhance user engagement and knowledge in the context of public service. This interactive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application allows users to register complaints and conveniently track their status directly through their mobile devices. Users can access an updated Cause List that reflects the status of their complaints across all 36 District Regional Offices of the Ombudsman Mohtasib Punjab for a span of seven days.

In addition to complaint tracking, the OPMIS mobile application offers comprehensive information relating to the Office of the Ombudsman, including details on regional offices, such as addresses and Google Maps integration, as well as names and sitting days of regional advisors. Users can explore a wealth of resources, including sections on the office’s mission, profiles of key personnel, historical information on former ombudsmen and secretaries, contact details, FAQs, and downloadable materials such as the Ombudsman Mohtasib Punjab Act 1997 and related policies.

Notably, the Office of the Ombudsman Mohtasib Punjab has digitalized over 200,000 complaint files to date. The initial phase included the integration of 120,558 complaints from the period between 2000 and 2011 into the OPMIS mobile application. This feature empowers users with enhanced access to information and facilitates easy tracking of complaint statuses through a dedicated digitization tab within the application.
